I've been catching up with reading and exploring my new work which is now ready for my upcoming Solo Exhibition at The Poly Falmouth
The title is Brave Hour Regained. Organic Abstracts influenced by choreography and music. This idea came from Gillian Ayres statement That First Brave Hour. Stop Thinking and face the blank canvas. I love that moment. And I love the revisions too.
The Show opens on Tuesday, 24th April and runs until Saturday 29th 10.30 am to 6.00 pm But I also plan to open from 7.00 on the evenings of various performances in the Poly Theatre.
Do hope to see you there. Good to show new work plus a few from my Exhibitions at The Crypt St Ives. I shall be in attendance throughout the five days.
My Solo Exhibition at The Crypt St Ives Cornwall runs from the 8th October for a week. The preparation is quite hectic – it's been quite an eventful year for me.
And for my husband Ron, too. He's been such a support. I have always been rather tentative about showing my work. I love the solitude of my studio in Newlyn but now I feel ready to really engage with showing my work.
So it'll be here and out there in the beautiful space of The Crypt Gallery under the St Ives Society of Artists. Oh, and the Exhibition is called “Chords and Voices” and it runs daily until the 14th October.
See you there.
